Conversation on Loneliness: What is loneliness?
We will begin at the beginning.
With a simple and perhaps profound question: What is loneliness?
The dictionary defines loneliness as sadness because one has no friends or company. But we think we can all agree that loneliness is so much more than that. Sometimes loneliness feels unrecognizable or indescribable. And other times it feels familiar, concrete, all pervasive. It isn’t really just one thing. The experience of loneliness is layered and complex. Different for everyone.
As we begin this exploration, know that we, Beth and Brett, are eager to walk together with you and see what emerges at the loneliness lab.
